Trouble Tearing?
We know you love to rip pages from our magazine when you see hot looks, new products, or inspirations that catch your eye. We've made it really fun and easy to keep tearing when you're online. All you need to do is set up a profile and install the new W Tear tool to get going. Having Trouble using W Desires' all new Tear feature? Here are some more details that can help you get Tear set up and get you started building your collections.
Please note that you won't be able to Tear images from sites built in Flash
Register
Using Tear requires you to log in and create a profile. This will give you access to the Tear tool and the ability to build and share collections with others.
- Click the Register button, and the Registration form will appear.
- Fill out the fields and click Submit.
- We'll send you an email to confirm your address. Click the confirmation link in the email to confirm your address and return to W Tear. Note: If you don't see our email, it might be in your spam folder. You might want to add the following emails to be sure: "wtear@wdesires.com", "wtear@wdesires.com"
- Once you've registered for Tear and confirmed your email address, you'll need to log in at the top right. The first time you do, you'll see the W Tear tool appear next to the video.
Install
Internet Explorer Users
- Right click the W Tear tool.
- Select Add to Favorites.
- You will get a warning that the Favorite may not be safe, but you can trust us - click Yes to continue.
- Select Links from the Create In menu, then click Add.
- Click on the W Tear tool, and, while holding down your mouse button, drag the tool to the links bar of your browser.
- Drop the tool right into your links bar, and the W Tear tool will appear in your browser.
Tear It Up
- Now that you've got your W Tear tool installed, browse WDesires.com, or any other site on the web. When you find a must-have item you want to remember, an outfit you want to emulate, or a great gift idea, click the Tear tool, or select it from your Favorites.
- Now move your mouse over the image you want to capture - you'll see the Tear tool move with you.
- Click the image you want to save to your Tear Collections, and the image will appear in a W Tear Submission form.
- Enter any information you want to save with your image - Product Name or Product Description.
- Now you'll want to create a collection to keep your tear in. Click Create New Collection.
- Enter a name for your new collection - "Bags For Fall", "Gifts For Mom", "New Looks", etc. You can create collections of anything you want to remember or reference later.
- Click Submit - your image will appear in its new collection.
